Bischoff's Shades of the West

Shades of the West was founded by Anselm Bischoff and has been in operation since 1971. We are located on the southwest corner of Brown Avenue and Main Street, occupying the site of Scottsdale's first general store. Boasting an opulent history, the intersection's premiere corner was home to the Valley's very first arts and crafts center in the 1940s. Shades of the west has 25 years of history under its custom made belts, featuring a robust array of southwestern-flavored items from hats to kitchenware, gourmet spices to moccasins and regional books. We offer everything needed to transform a bunkhouse into a southwestern palace.
