We hired Rene, the owner of Celebrations in Paper, to do our wedding stationary at the recommendation of my wedding planner and would not recommend. While my first meeting with Rene went well, I felt she came across a little standoffish and a little bit uninterested in doing any work for me since I wasn’t doing a lot of stationary items. I was also somewhat disappointed in the selection of materials and felt she came across a little disorganized, but was out of time to make a vendor switch. It kind of went downhill when I asked if we could re work the original invitation she had designed. My invitations went out later than promised and the color scheme didn’t match (she used an old file). I discussed it with my wedding planner and we both decided maybe it was a one off incident/mistake. About a month later I met with her on designing the rest of my items (menu, signage, escort cards, etc), however despite my contract stating 1 week, she refused to send over any proofs for 6 weeks. This was despite providing her with any information she needed (multiple times). When I finally received the custom drink design, it was of a fig boba tea type drink - not even remotely close to what was sent to her (margarita). In the end I had to design the drinks myself. In the end, Rene delayed designing or ordering anything else until less than one week before my destination wedding. And despite paying for her to design each item, what I ultimately received back were 2 designed items and the rest were examples I had personally sent over previously for size/layout. Ultimately I had to do more work then I needed to and honestly feel let down by the entire experience I had. I was really looking forward to having fun with this part of my wedding planning. I do not feel comfortable recommending this business.
I have been referring clients to Rene at Celebrations in Paper for over 20 years because she is the BEST at what she does. Whatever your stationery needs, she will customize to each individual client. Her creativity and designs are unique and beautiful, and she always sends proofs so you can see exactly what you are getting to make sure you are 100% happy with the final product. With all the years working together, I have never had a client who hasn’t been completely happy with everything she has produced. My clients book me because they want the best and that is why I highly recommend Celebrations in Paper.
Rene was able to translate our wedding vision into a reality. She was great to work with and very gracious and helpful as we faced postponing the wedding due to Covid-19. I give her my highest recommendation ❤️

Plan ahead! Beautiful work but make sure that you have plenty of time in case things run behind or you find an error. Easier to correct when you aren't feeling rushed.
